Sobrino's dream debut

Ruben Sobrino had a dream debut in the UEFA Europa League game against Celtic, playing a vital role in his side's 0-2 win at Celtic Park. The winter signing played the entire 90 minutes, set up Denis Cheryshev for the opening goal, and scored the second to put Valencia CF in a favourable position for the second leg.
Making his first appearance for the club, his first appearance in Europe and lining up for the first time alongside Cheryshev, Sobrino was a standout performer right from the start. Almost at the end of the first half, he squared for his Russian teammate to slot the ball home and make it 0-1.
After the break, Cheryshev returned the favour, swinging a ball in from the left for Sobrino to stretch his leg to turn into the net. It was his first goal since November 11th of last season, when he scored for former club Deportivo Alavés against Huesca in LaLiga.
Following a successful opening game for Valencia CF, Sobrino has shown that he is quickly adapting to his new club.
